After that, when a security officer in Antilia called the police control room about the suspected car, police arrived at the spot, found with a bombardment and disposal forces. After the sniffer dogs detected the explosives, the bomb squad removed the gelatin sticks, which were found not to have accumulated, and did not contain batteries or detonators. The investigation was led by Sachin Vaze, head of Mumbai's Crime Intelligence Unit. The matter was later handed over to the NIA, after which it was found out that Sachin Vaze was involved in the incident. He was arrested and the case is moving forward.
